Prince Harry is reportedly set to miss his cousin Peter Phillips' upcoming wedding in the Cotswolds, fueling fresh scrutiny over the state of the Duke of Sussex's relationships within the Royal Family and prompting commentators to claim the once-close royal has effectively been frozen out of another major Windsor gathering.

Peter Phillips, the eldest grandson of the late Queen Elizabeth II, is expected to marry Harriet Sperling on 6 June at All Saints Church in Cirencester, according to British media reports. The ceremony is being described as a smaller and more private affair than recent high-profile royal weddings, though senior royals - including King Charles III, Queen Camilla and Prince William - are reportedly expected to attend.

What has drawn attention, however, is who may not be there.

Speaking on TalkTV, broadcaster Mark Dolan claimed Prince Harry had not merely been overlooked but intentionally excluded from the event.

"It's a royal snub; it's the royal wedding of the year, and it is Princess Anne's son, Peter ... and the bottom line is that Harry has not been invited," Dolan said during a discussion with Sky News Australia presenter Paul Murray.

"It's my understanding he's been banned from the event. Why? Because Peter Phillips, the guy that's getting married, doesn't want Harry to take the headlines. And Palace officials feel that Harry and Meghan are toxic and they would ruin the special day."

Neither Buckingham Palace nor representatives for Meghan Markle have confirmed the claims, and no official guest list has been released. Still, the reports have intensified speculation that tensions surrounding Harry now extend far beyond his widely publicized rift with Prince William.

Royal commentators say the issue is no longer confined to disputes between the two brothers, but reflects broader frustration inside the House of Windsor following years of public criticism from the Sussexes.

Emily Andrews, royal correspondent for woman&home magazine, said on her podcast "Catching Up with the Royals" that Harry and Meghan's team had "confirmed [they] aren't going."

When discussing whether the couple had actually been invited, Andrews said the Sussexes' camp "wouldn't be drawn" on the question.

"I suspect that Peter probably didn't invite Harry and Meghan because it's too problematic," she said.

The suggestion aligns with wider claims that several members of the Royal Family remain deeply unhappy over Prince Harry's repeated public accusations against royal institutions and family members through interviews, documentaries and his memoir Spare.

"This is not just a family issue between Harry and William... I think it's not just William who is upset by what Harry's done. Many members of the family have been upset," Andrews said.

The apparent exclusion is especially notable given the historically close relationship between Harry and Peter Phillips. Harry attended Peter's first wedding to Autumn Kelly in 2008, years before the Sussexes' departure from royal life triggered one of the monarchy's deepest internal crises in decades.

The cousins were last publicly seen together during King Charles' coronation in 2023, though they were not seated together and no public interaction between them was captured.

The reported guest-list tensions appear to extend beyond Harry and Meghan.

British media reports also suggest Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson may not attend the wedding either, amid ongoing reputational concerns surrounding the Duke of York.

A source cited by Hello! magazine said, "It's Peter and Harriet's special day, and clearly their attendance would cause a distraction to the whole day."

Unlike the harsher "toxic" label used by television commentators, that characterization focused less on personal animosity and more on avoiding controversy overshadowing the ceremony itself.
