Ji Chang Wook and Ji Chang will star in KakaoTV's upcoming drama titled City Couple's Way of Love.
According to a report by Soompi, City Couple's Way of Love is a series that makes a realistic depiction on the dating lives of people who are trying to survive in the big city. The drama is classified as a short term drama but it is expected to continue for multiple seasons.
Based on the report, City Couple's Way of Love will be released with 30-minute episodes. It's Okay Not To Be Okay director Park Shin Woo has already signed on to helm the series. The first season of the series, penned by I Need Romance and Romance is a Bonus Book writer Jung Hyun Jung, will carry the theme: My Loveable Camera Thief.
Ji Chang Wook will reportedly take on the role of Park Chae Won, an architect who loves the city streets. However, his heart is stolen one night by a woman he calls the camera thief and he has not been able to find her after their first meeting.
For her part, Kim Ji Won will portray the role of freelance marketer Lee Eun Oh. She takes on a false identity as Yoon Sun Ah and falls in love with Park Chae Won.
According to Ji Chang Wook, he is very excited to join the cast because of director Park Shin Woo and writer Jung Hyun Jung. He said he was always wanted to work with them in the past.
Meanwhile, Kim Ji Won echoed Ji Chang Wook's sentiments and said that she is excited to join a talented production team and cast for the project. She promised fans that she is working hard to show a new side of her acting with the character of Lee Eun Oh.
She added that she hopes, with the entire team's hard work, they could bring a small amount of joy to viewers who are going through a difficult time with the pandemic.
City Couple's Way of Love is expected to premiere before the end of 2020 on KakaoTV.
Fans are already very excited about the partnership of Ji Chang Wook and Kim Ji Won because of the success of their previous dramas. It can be recalled that, apart from hit action dramas, Ji Chang Wook also excelled in romantic series like Suspicious Partner, Melting with You, and most recently, Backstreet Rookie.
Kim Ji Won is known for the success of her working-class drama Fight for My Way opposite Park Seo Joon and the action romance Descendants of the Sun. Her last drama was the big budget fantasy series Arthdal Chronicles.
