The U.S. President Donald Trump has a suspicion that Beijing is boiling something to sabotage the pact between the U.S. and North Korea that was agreed last month.
The intention of the treaty was to denuclearize North Korea. In-exchange to that is to suspend U.S. military exercises in the Korean peninsula. The one-on-one session held in Singapore with interpreters present lasted for less than an hour before they finally had another big meeting.
After the discussion, Trump was expecting N. Korea to dismantle the nuclear arsenal. However, in regards to the economic sanctions, the status still remains in place. But new-made theories and doubts are present regarding the willingness to let go of the nuclear arsenal. “China, on the other hand, maybe exerting negative pressure on a deal because of our posture on Chinese Trade-Hope Not!" Trump posted on Twitter.
He said that Chinese might be pulling back North Korea. Thus, the country’s tougher stance about it and this is all because of the U.S. and China trade dispute. However, Trump guarantees that the United States is “committed to provide security guarantees.”
Trump is confident that Kim Jong Un, North Korea leader will uphold to what they have agreed. "I have confidence that Kim Jong Un will honor the contract we signed &, even more importantly, our handshake.”
China’s foreign ministry said that the Beijing's current status regarding the N. Korea issue is still the same and despite U.S president allegations, they still act responsibly and remain calm. According to Vice President Pence, "North Korea's desire to meet to discuss denuclearization - while suspending all ballistic missile and nuclear testing - is evidence that President Trump's strategy to isolate the Kim regime is working."
As of now, there are no further details yet about the exact date when they will dismantle the nuclear program and how they will do it.
