North Korea President Kim Jong Un gave U.S. President Donald Trump a note that expressed continuous good relations between the U.S. and North Korea.

Date July 6, the letter cited Kim's gratitude to the "energetic and extraordinary efforts" of Trump to improve good relations between two nations.

"Wishing that the invariable trust and confidence in Your Excellency Mr. President will be further strengthened in the future process of taking practical actions, I extend my conviction that the epochal progress in promoting the DPRK-U.S. relations will bring our next meeting forward," the letter said.

The letter was publicly made known after Trump tweeted about the letter and said that "it was a very nice note" and "great progress was being made."

The letter came out after U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Party went to North Korea after the North Korean Foreign Ministry issued a statement that accused the U.S. a seemingly "gangster-like" demands and pressure for the North Korea to abandon its nuclear weapons.

"We had expected that the U.S. side would offer constructive measures that would help build trust based on the spirit of the leaders' summit," according to Pyongyang's Foreign Ministry.

For his part, Pompeo shrugged off such statement and stressed that the talks between U.S. and North Korean officials are in "good faith."

"Look, people are going to make stray comments after meetings. If I paid attention to what the press said, I'd go nuts. And I refuse to do that," said Pompeo.

Also, Trump posted another tweet that mentioned the goodwill of two nations.

"I have confidence that Kim Jong Un will honor the contract we signed &, even more importantly, our handshake," he tweeted. "We agreed to the denuclearization of North Korea. China, on the other hand, maybe exerting negative pressure on a deal because of our posture on Chinese Trade-Hope Not!"
