OnePlus has been known to launch devices every six months, meaning a successor to the OnePlus 6 may be imminent. The device came out last May, and the widespread belief right now is that the next model will be the OnePlus 6T.

The fact that OnePlus has made it a practice to release handsets every six months keeps it abreast with the latest changes on mobile handsets. But the question right now is whether there would be significant changes to the OnePlus 6T or not.

Unofficially, there is a lot to look forward to on what the OnePlus 6T may potentially carry. A promotional video, which can be seen below, should more or less give consumers an idea or two on what it could take. Be guided that these are conceptualizations, meaning not all may come out once the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is ready to roll out its latest mobile phone offering.

OnePlus carved a name for itself offing high-end specs at a fairly reasonable price. Though considered a separate company from Oppo, they do have shared investors that hint at possible new features likely to be integrated.

The immediate thing that comes to mind would be the built-in cameras. Aware that selfies have grown famous and essential to smartphone buyers, one potential feature would be a pop-up selfie camera most would probably remember as part of the Oppo Find X, Forbes reported.

While that could be a grand addition, there are things to consider, which includes space allocation up front. Should this be integrated, the need to maximize the screen and doing away with some physical buttons (i.e., home button) may happen. Seeing how most phones in the market are shifting to this niche, it would hardly be surprising.

Aside from the pop-up selfie camera, the biometric security is another feature worth thinking about. In the OnePlus 6, the fingerprint scanner is still stationed at the rear of the handset. There is a chance that OnePlus may take a page out of the Vivo X21, meaning the OnePlus 6T could include a fingerprint scanner mounted on the screen.

Aside from that, all other specs should be similar to the OnePlus 6, which includes a 6.4-inch display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM, 128/ 256 GB of ROM, dual-SIM capable and wireless charging, as detailed on GSM Arena.

With roughly three more months before OnePlus raises the curtains on an expected OnePlus 6T, additional changes aside from the ones suggested in the promotional video below are likely. Regardless, pricing remains key, an essential piece vital to smartphone buyers.
