Xiaomi is all set for ChinaJoy, better known as the China Digital Entertainment Expo & Conference, set to take place from Aug. 3 to 6. Expected to be revealed are the Xiaomi Mi Notebook 2018 and the Xiaomi Mi Band 3.
The event is an annual gathering showcasing the latest in gaming and digital entertainment, which should be perfect for Xiaomi’s most recent consumer electronics offering. Both are confirmed as appearing although details of each have been limited.
On one end is the Xiaomi Mi Notebook 2018, perceived to be a gaming laptop packed with 8th generation processors. The belief that it would be a high-powered notebook created for gaming was hinted by the teasers that have come out.
According to MySmartPrice, the new Xiaomi Mi Notebook 2018 will come powered by an Intel Core i7 processor. Much of this was hypothesized using the announcement poster where the text read: “New Performance Monster Awakening.”
The powerful processors should be perfect for a series of upcoming Xiaomi games requiring powerful hardware requirements. Until the actual event, it remains to be seen if these processors are indeed the ones powering Xiaomi’s latest laptop offering. If not, there is also a chance that the company could bump up the chipset compliment a bit to an Intel Core i9 for better speed and performance.
Aside from the processor, there are other specs worth noting. The Xiaomi Mi Notebook 2018 will feature a 15.6-inch screen and bank on an NVIDIA GTX 1060 graphics card. It will also come with 16 GB of RAM, 256 GB of internal storage plus hard disk storage of up to 1 TB.
To further enhance the gaming experience, the laptop will also come with Dolby sound and Sony high-resolution certified audio. It will offer potential owners a 30 n-key rollover with its professional gaming keyboard.
Other notable features the Xiaomi Mi Notebook 2018 will reportedly carry will include a 3.5 mm audio jack, USB-C port, a USB 3.0 port and HDMI port among others. It is expected to come with 10 ports in all, Gizbot.com said.
With regards to the Xiaomi Mi Band 3, little is known so far. Other than having an engraved phrase of “Are You Ok?”, the band will come in black and feature an OLED panel that can reportedly measure a user’s heart rate, calories burned, steps taken and distance traveled. Similar to most health bands, it can also track sleep activity.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 3 will reportedly come out with a 110 mAh battery that will be good for up to 20-days on a single charge. It will also be waterproof, meaning it should be able to withstand the wear and tear for people who undertake different activities to maintain their health.
