"Pokémon" fans plea does not fall on deaf ears. The newest animated film, "Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us," is finally coming to the U.S. theaters this November.

On Monday, July 30, the Pokémon Company International and Fathom Events officially announced that "Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us" will open in selected cinemas across America around the Thanksgiving break.

"'Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us' gives fans and families an opportunity to come together in witnessing new plotlines, characters and settings unfold in the Pokemon world," senior director of consumer marketing at The Pokemon Company International J.C. Smith said in a press statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.

Directed by Tetsuo Yajima, "Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us" follows Ash Ketchum (voiced by Rica Matsumoto) and Pikachu's (voiced by Ikue Otani) one of a kind journey as they visit a small seaside town and accidentally summon the legendary Pokémon Lugia.

Not much has been said about the legendary Pokémon, though avid fans of the popular franchise would know that Lugia is an enormous draconian and mythical Pokémon with avian characteristics. It also has the Pressure ability, which causes the opposing Pokémon to double its PP usage amidst a battle.

Despite its massive size, Lugia is said to be very intelligent and is exceptionally delicate with humans and other Pokémons. It also possesses unique telepathy ability just like the legendary Pokémon Mewtwo.

What's more, the upcoming animated film will introduce a new set of characters such as Lisa (voiced by Rina Kawaei), a Pokémon rookie; Kagachi (voiced by Koji Ohkura), a boy who loves telling lies to others; Trito (voiced by Gaku Hamada), an intelligent researcher who does not have much confidence in himself; Hisui (Masako Nozawa), an old woman who just detests Pokémon for unknown reasons; and Largo (voiced by Mana Ashida), a mysterious girl who lives alone in the forest.

The group will also be joined by Lisa's younger brother named Riku (voiced by Shoko Nakagawa) and Oliver (voiced by Koichi Yamadera), who is the face of Fura City. Each character is expected to play a significant role in the story.

"Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us" will open in select cinemas across America on Nov. 24, 26 and 28, and on Dec. 1. While waiting, check out the much-anticipated film's trailer below:
