The long wait is almost over. "Kingdom Hearts 3" is scheduled to be released worldwide in 2019 --- here is everything you need to know about the much-anticipated action role-playing video game.
"Kingdom Hearts 3," developed and published by Square Enix, is the 12th installment in the popular franchise and the final chapter in the Dark Seeker saga. The upcoming video game is set after the events of 2012's "Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance."
In "Kingdom Hearts 3," protagonist Sora (voiced by Jesse McCartney) will search for the seven Guardians of Light and the Key to Return Hearts to stop Master Xehanort's evil plan to bring a second Keyblade War. Along the way, she will be joined by Donald Duck (voiced by Tony Anselmo), Goofy (voiced by Bill Farmer), King Mickey (voiced by Bret Iwan) and Riku (voiced by David Gallagher).

'Kingdom Hearts 3' Gameplay
At the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2018, an official trailer for "Kingdom Hearts 3" have shown off its gameplay. The game features hack-and-slash gameplay with Sora as the main playable character.
The player will, then, visit different worlds based on various Disney, Pixar and Marvel properties and Square Enix's "Final Fantasy" franchise. Each world - "Big Hero 6," "Kingdom of Corona," "Toy Story," "Wreck-it Ralph," "Pirates of the Caribbean," "Frozen," "Tangled," "Monster's Inc.," "Mysterious Tower," "Twilight Town" and "Mount Olympus" - offers a particular gameplay component.
"Yeah, it's a Kingdom Hearts game," Senior product marketing manager for Square Enix, Brendan Docherty, said in an interview with Den of Geek! "There is a lot of depth to the system. It's not just wailing on the X button. There are some encounter-by-encounter scenarios you will have to deal with, and there are some hard bosses," he added.
The game will also feature several attacks, dubbed "Attractions," which are based on amusement park rides. It includes those from the world-famous Disney Parks such as Big Magic Mountain, Shooting Ride, the Pirate Ship and Mad Tea Cups.
'Kingdom Hearts 3' Release Date
"Kingdom Hearts 3" is scheduled to be released on Jan. 25, 2019 in Japan and on Jan. 29, 2019 across the world. It will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. While waiting, check out this 10-minute video below to know more about the upcoming role-playing video game:
