When people thought that Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin's relationship would fail, the couple proved them wrong. Now, they have set the bar high after they reportedly got matching tattoos.

It is true that the 28-year-old actress and the Coldplay musician have not decided to make their relationship red carpet official. However, they were indeed spotted with matching ink, proving their romance.

Johnson and Martin's quiet relationship of nearly one year already continue to go strong. According to Elle, the couple has decided to get matching tattoos. The body art resembles an infinity symbol, which is perfectly placed on their arm.

While at the "Suspiria" photocall at the Venice Film Festival over the weekend, Dakota was seen donning a delicate infinity sign crossed with two small Xs. Although it seems to be barely visible on the back of her left forearm, just below her elbow, it looks like Martin's.

Chris, 41, was also spotted at the launch of S.E.A Jeans in Los Angeles around the same time. And as mentioned, he wore an identical tattoo on the inside of his right forearm.

The matching tattoos come after it was reported that the "Something Just Like This" singer - who already has kids Apple, 13, and Moses, 12, with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow - was being "more serious" the actress of the film "Fifty Shades of Grey," Journal Star reports.

An insider was quoted as saying, "For the past two weeks, they have spent a lot of time together. Chris lives in Malibu and Dakota seems to love hanging out there. They occasionally go for dinner with friends, but mostly have friends over at home." The tipster went to add: "They go to the beach together, and walks around the neighborhood. They seem to enjoy sharing a quiet life. It does seem they are getting more serious."

Meanwhile, the actress' father, Don Johnson, has been vocal about his support to her daughter's romance with the Coldplay frontman. He admitted that the "Viva La Vida" hitmaker would be "good" for his daughter.

"He's a lovely guy. I've met him and you want your kids happy, no matter what shape it takes," he claimed.

Although Johnson and Martin continue to prove to the public that their romance is blooming, only time can tell. And perhaps their infinity symbol tattoo could later be a source of their love or hate for each other, depending on how their relationship would go in the long run.
