China's State Councillor and Foreign Minister Yi and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met on Monday to discuss the bilateral commitment to the international deal on the issues concerning Iran's nuke.

During the meeting, the Chinese minister extended his condolences to the victims of the last terrorist attack in Iran. He expressed that he is strongly condemning the inhumane attack.

Mr. Wang said that China supports Iran's struggle in defending the country's legitimate rights. He added that the economic giant opposes unilateralism and hegemonic moves. The country also calls for upholding the comprehensive deal on Iran's nuke issue.

The minister stated the country calls for unity to all parties concerned in the nuke issue to stand to what is right. He said that the country appreciates that Iran was recognized to have fulfilled its obligation on the comprehensive deal as assessed by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Wang stressed that the continued implementation of the deal is in Iran's interest. The Iranian Foreign minister expressed his admiration of China's role in supporting the international nuclear deal on Iran's nuclear program.

Iran appreciates the economic giant's support for the Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). The JCPOA is an agreement reached by Iran and other countries like China, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States that was signed on July 14, 2015. The agreement ensures that countries comply with nuclear-related provisions which will be verified by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) accordingly to the requirements set forth in the JCPOA agreement. Iran believes that most members of the international community will continue to support the deal because of China's support.

Iran assures that they will maintain good relations with China and other nations in preserving and in implementing the deal so that the country could handle the current situation of the country. Mr. Zarif that Iran values its relationship with China and the country appreciates the latter's efforts to promote bilateral economic and trade relations.

Prior to the meeting, Minister Wang made remarks that China will support Iran in its struggle to protect the JCPOA. According to him the positions of all parties are highly consistent and a new consensus has been formed. He added that all parties in the agreement are committed to properly addressing the difficulties in maintaining normal economic and trade cooperation with Iran.

President Donald Trump, however, announced that the United States would withdraw from the agreement which was nullified by the EU by updating the blocking statute on countries trading with Iran.
