There are rumors Prince William and Kate Middleton will be Queen Elizabeth's successor as the next king and queen of England. But based on the royal's succession, there is no truth in this story. Prince Charles is the only rightful heir, so these gossips are far from happening.

According to Gossip Cop, the Royals have been following the 300-year-old rules and regulations of royal succession. Queen Elizabeth will surely follow the protocol when she passes the crown to Prince Charles, not to Prince William and Middleton.

There is no truth Queen Elizabeth will bypass her son to declare Prince William and Middleton as the next king and queen. Allegedly, the Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms has a secret coup to ditch the royal rules to give the throne to her grandson.

However, Queen Elizabeth has no power to do that. She has to order the Parliament to ratify her request to crown Prince Williams and Middleton and not her son, Prince Charles. In Act of Settlement of 1701, the oldest heir is always the next in line to the throne.

There are also claims that the meeting held by the government leaders of the Commonwealth is about Queen Elizabeth's plan to step down the throne and let Prince William take over. But the gathering held earlier this year is about the approval and announcement of Prince Charles as the next King. "The next head of the Commonwealth shall be His Royal Highness Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales," the leaders said.

The Sun confirmed Prince Charles would get the crown if Queen Elizabeth decided to retire or when she dies. There are reports the longest reigning leader of the Commonwealth told her inner circle that if she still seats on the throne at 95-years-old, she would ask the legislature to grant Prince Charles of full power to reign while she is still alive.

After Prince Charles, the next in line in the royal succession is his eldest son, Prince William, and his kids Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Prince Harry is now on sixth in line. His future offspring with Meghan Markle will be in line after him.

Prince Charles is the longest-serving heir in the UK's history. He has been in line when he was only three-years-old. He is now 69. He, too, will be the oldest British monarch to take the throne.

With that said, there are rumors the royalists want Prince Charles to let his eldest son, Prince William, to take over and become the new King after Queen Elizabeth. Middleton's husband has more approval ratings from the public than his father based on a poll made in 2017.
