It is no secret that Drake admires Rihanna. The Canadian rapper has been very vocal about his admiration towards the latter. According to recent reports, he revealed his desire to form a family with the "Diamonds" singer.

Hollywood Life reports Drake's admission about his original intentions of forming a family with Rihanna. He cites the different lessons that taught him and shaped his life. Those lessons, too, reportedly made him think that, like any other people, he does not live in a fairy tale.

Drake found himself in an interview with LeBron James and Maverick Carter. This happened on the new hit series courtesy of HBO titled "The Shop." In the interview, he talked about his son Adonis and his thoughts about starting a family with Rihanna.

Drake, who recently got nominated in the upcoming 2018 BET Hip Hop Awards, said that he "wanted" such idea "at one time." Though, he did not end up forming a relationship with Rihanna, let alone raising a family with her.

The "Wild Thoughts" singer, however, has a relationship and a son with Sophie Brussaux, who is a former adult film actress and French artist. In 2017, the two welcomed their son Adonis. Drake confirmed the news through a track called "March 14," which was released via this June 2018 album called "Scorpion."

As Drake was talking to LeBron James, he showed the Los Angeles Lakers superstar a photo of his baby on his phone. "I have a son, he's a beautiful boy," he said. The NBA star, on the other hand, commented on the baby's eyes, which he referred to as "crazy blue eyes." The Canadian artist nodded and appreciated the comment.

Drake, who made the song "God's Plan" famous, also talked about the hurdles of navigating co-parenting with Brussaux, MTV reports. As for fans who do not know, the two did not end up in a relationship, but they agreed to be there for the kid. "I am a single father learning to communicate with a woman who, you know, we've had our moments," he said.

Drake even opened up about his past life, particularly how his upbringing and strained relationship with his parents affected his fatherhood. He admitted that he does not want to steer clear of Brussaux, as he wants his son "to love his mother." The rapper added that, as much as possible, he would try to be the father that Adonis deserves.
