The turmoil over in Cleveland continues although the Cavaliers did bag their first win of the season under interim coach Larry Drew. The Cavs trashed the Atlanta Hawks, 136-114, a milestone that could help Drew make a case that he does deserve a restructured contract and become the next head coach of the team.

Unfortunately, the euphoria of Drew's breakthrough hit a bit of a snag with word that Avery Johnson is being considered as the next head coach of the Cavs. According to NBC Sports, executives are considering Johnson as a possible future coach for Cleveland.

The statement is a bit tricky. It did not directly say that it was the Cleveland top brass or executives from other teams who are giving their piece. Seeing, however, how the coaching position is sketchy at this point, the former one appears to be more sensible.

Johnson has been around. He has coached teams like the Seattle Supersonics, Denver Nuggets, San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, Golden State Warriors, Denver Nuggets and the Dallas Mavericks. At the moment, he is calling the shots for Alabama in the collegiate ranks and has been successful. Would a call-up be forthcoming?

Regardless of who is named the official head Cavs head coach, personnel changes may happen. And one who could be dealt is Kyle Korver. At 37, the three-point specialist is reportedly one of the players that the Cavs could deal away soon, ESPN said. Despite his age, Korver could be put to good use for teams in need of a shooter to free up the interior.

The team of choice would depend on who would be willing to invest in a veteran who is nearing the twilight of his career. One team that comes to mind is a former team of the 2003 second round draft pick.

Several teams could come knocking, assuming the Cavs put him on the block. The Sixers, a team he played for from 2003 to 2007 could put him to good use, allowing Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons to penetrate better.

Several teams could still put him to good use although the Cavs may need to add more assets to get a quality player. A straight trade may net Cleveland a bench player, an addition that may hardly help their NBA campaign.

Further changes are expected for the Cavs who are still trying to figure out how to survive the post-LeBron James era. They are unsurprisingly struggling and in search of an established star. No particular name has been linked to Cleveland and a likely scenario is seeing them target young players who can become the team's next big star.
