SHINee boy band member Key will release his solo album 'FACE' on Monday. The South Korean singer, whose real name is Kim Ki-bum, promoted the album during a press conference in Seoul where he performed his debut single, "One of Those Nights," featuring the South Korean R&B and hip-hop singer, Crush.

The uptempo song will be emphasizing the sentimental personality of Key. Other tracks in the album were also produced by various collaborators, including Valentino Khan, Skrillex, Adrian Mckinno, Kenzi, LDN Noise, and Bazzi. Aside from Crush, other singers will also be appearing in Key's solo album, such as Soyou and rapper Vinxen, as per Korea Times.

Key said the title of his solo album was inspired by the phrase "face it," which also represents his determination to show his abilities and talents. The singer also revealed he intended to make the album sounds similar to other SHINee members' solo albums: late Jonghyun's (died in December 2017) album called "BASE," while Taemin's album title was "ACE."

Key also talked about the making of his solo album, noting that it took so long to release it as he didn't want to be impetuous and rush it. The 27-year-old singer thinks that now is the right time to debut as a soloist. His solo works also changed into funkier electronic music. Key's other nine tracks on the album include Chemicals (trap tune), Good Good (rock funk emphasizing his falsetto), Imagine (uptempo Complextro Nu Disco track), and Honest (electro-pop track).

The singer also helped writing four tracks in his album, such as the I Will Fight, an R&B ballad featuring rapper Vinxen; This Life, progressive house song representing past traumas and breaking free; The Duty of Love, pop track; and Easy to Love, a house R&B song. Another track, titled Forever Yours, an R&B pop song with lyrics focusing on romantic feelings featuring Soyou.

Key said he wanted to prove he's capable of doing many things at once. This year was a hectic schedule for him, wherein SHINee released its three-part sixth full-length album "The Story of Light" in May to celebrate their 10th year anniversary, he appeared on variety shows, and he has a film to be released next year.

Meanwhile, Key's album will be followed by the release of Onew's first solo album before joining the military on December 10. After they debuted as a boy band, SHINee has earned worldwide popularity and had numerous hit songs, such as Ring Ding Dong, Lucifer, Juliette, and Love like Oxygen.
