The Game of Thrones Season 8 theories continue ahead of the show's return in April 2019. One such speculation involves the Stark sisters, with a couple of fans pointing out the obvious about Arya and Sansa's fate in the installment.

The last time fans saw the Stark siblings in Season 7, they all reunited in Winterfell. Bran returned home after a long and tasking journey followed by Arya. Both have changed dramatically, shaped by all they have witnessed and experienced in the events of the past seasons. Arya is now a full-fledged assassin after she trained with the Faceless Men in Braavos and Bran's supernatural gift of seeing the past and the future gained him the title as the new Three-Eyed Raven.

Meanwhile, Sansa has changed in her way too. She is now the new Queen of the North. Suffice to say that all siblings have found their rightful place when it comes to their role in Westeros, and because of this, one would think that everything is going to be all right moving forward.

However, a fan argued that everything is going to change for the Stark sisters in Game of Thrones Season 8. Arya is not going to stay in Winterfell long because she has a desire to venture out of the North and explore other parts outside of Westeros. A fan looked back at what Arya said about wanting "to go beyond the shadowlands and explore uncharted waters."

It also makes sense that Arya named her direwolf Nymeria, who was a princess who sailed across the seas in search for a new home for her people. Just like the Faceless Men who seek adventure, Arya (Maisie Williams) will leave Winterfell in search of a new world and her skills will come handy when it comes to defending herself.

Moreover, Arya made it clear that she is only in Winterfell to reunite with Jon Snow (Kit Harrington). She even put off her mission to kill Cersei Lannister in Kings Landing when she learned that the new King of the North was on his way to Winterfell.

Sansa Stark, on the other hand, does not live long to rule the North. Another fan believes that she dies in Game of Thrones Season 8. Her demise is linked to the death of her direwolf Lady. The past seasons revealed a link to the lives of the direwolves to their owners. Arya's direwolf is still alive, but Sansa's is already dead, which could be a foreshadowing of her fate in the final season.
