Another round of Avengers: Endgame fan theories regarding the fate of the decimated have arrived. This time another obscure Marvel character joins the picture as someone who plays a key role in bringing back the dead.
The release of the Avengers: Endgame trailer had fans nitpicking every scene and detail in the hopes of coming up with another theory as they bide the time until the film's theater release. One Reddit user who goes by the name of Dyberzz spotted an interesting detail in the compass that Captain Steve Rogers aka Captain America was holding in the preview. It is the very same object from the first Captain America film.
According to the fan, the compass seems to point Northeast. Assuming the survivors are still in the Avengers base in New York, then it would point in the direction of Svalbad, the home of Adam Roderick. Interestingly, this Marvel character possesses powers of suggestion and manipulation.
"He has the power to influence his surroundings as well who listens to him and he can teleport everywhere he wants."
As a little refresher, Adam Roderick is a member of the Inhumans. He has the power to turn whatever he says or thinks into reality.
The fan theorized that Adam Roderick could be the key to saving Ant-Man, which could explain the latter's appearance in the Avengers: Endgame trailer, given how he was stuck in the Quantum Vortex at the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp. With Scott Lang rescued, it would then connect other theories about his involvement in bringing back the decimated superheroes and the other people affected by the Thanos snap.
Speculations have it that Ant-Man and his portable Quantum portal is the key to saving the dusted. It would involve time travel.
However, Adam Roderick's appearance in Avengers: Endgame would contradict other theories that Ant-Man escaped from the Quantum Realm on his own because he went into the Time Vortex. It would explain why he was also not affected by the Decimation, because he was in another realm.
Perhaps Adam Roderick plays a role in rescuing the decimated given the extent of his powers. It would also be a wise move for Marvel to include the character in Avengers: Endgame as a set up for Phase Four. Regardless, fans will have to wait and see for themselves who saves the day when the film opens in theatres on April 26, 2019.
