The Avengers: Endgame trailer is here, and so begins the series of questions and theories. One involves the possibility that Wakanda tech geek Shuri is alive and not dead.

Marvel finally released the preview for the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War and fans could not be more excited but mostly intrigued. After all, the trailer left more questions than answers, especially when it comes to the death of most of the Avengers and humanity, per se.

However, hope is not lost as Captain America (Chris Evans), Bruce Banner aka The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) vow to avenge everyone's death. There is also one particular scene in the Avengers: Endgame trailer that suggests they are not dead, but just missing.

This scene is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment at around a minute into the preview. Bruce is looking at images of people labeled as "missing" after the Mad Titan Thanos wiped out 50 percent of the human population at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. Shuri's photo appears on the screen as among the missing people.

Fans last saw Shuri (Leticia Wright) when Corvus Glaive knocked her aside during Thanos' invasion in Wakanda to steal the Mind Stone from Vision. There was no indication that suggests she died afterward, although viewers assumed that she, along with her brother Black Panther, was among the casualties in the Thanos snap.

The Avengers: Endgame trailer hints otherwise. Shuri is alive somewhere. Adding fuel to this speculation is an interview with Angela Bassett, who plays Shuri and Black Panther's mother Ramonda. She told Screenrant that Ramonda and Shuri survived the Thanos snap when asked if they are dead.

"No. Neither did my daughter. Shuri, she's a bright girl there in Wakanda."

There is a possibility that Shuri is hiding with the rest of the survivors in Wakanda and could soon appear at the Avengers headquarters. Giving credence to this assumption is the appearance of Scott Lang at the end of the Avengers: Endgame trailer. It is interesting to point out that he too was among the "missing" people.

The Avengers: Endgame trailer fuels fans' theory that Shuri has a big role to play in the film. She could just save the day. She has the original Mind Stone from Vision from when she extracted it in Avengers: Infinity War and replaced it with a replica, which Thanos stole. Her tech genius might come handy again when it is time to restore humanity.
