The speculations continue as fans bide the time until the release of Avengers: Endgame in theaters. The most prevalent being that the heroes are in a time loop and a fan may have just made a connection with this theory to a scene in Avengers: Infinity War.
The one question following the aftermath of the Decimation concerns the fate of the dusted. What happens now to those who vanished and what can the survivors do to bring half of the human population back? With this seemingly being the essence of the story in Avengers: Endgame, fans are looking at scenes in Infinity War for possible clues that could provide a morsel of an answer.
One such scene involved Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) when he mentioned that the Titan's gravitational pull is "out of whack" after he, along with the Avengers and the Guardians, first left Ebony Maw's Q-Ship. He noted that Titan is eight degrees off its axis. The fan says that the measurements are the way they are as a consequence of a later fight in which Thanos hurled a planet's moon toward the surface of the Titan, which affected its gravitational pull. The fan suggests that the team already felt the repercussions even before the fight happened because they were already in the time loop.
"Dr. Strange began his spell before star lord started measuring, and as he was doing so Strange creates a time loop of sorts that has already taken effect."
Another fan supports this theory and points at the appearance of the Time Stone when Doctor Strange hands it to Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. The gem was glowing which means it was activated. Even with the sorcerer gone, the time loop continues as shown in Doctor Strange, during the hero's fight with Dormammu.
Doctor Strange created a time loop to beat Dormammu, and even though the latter repeatedly killed him, he returned alive in another loop. Interestingly, in Avengers: Infinity War, the doctor also uttered some cryptic words to Ebony Maw about "a dead man's spell" being "hard to break."
Perhaps Strange saw the outcome of the time loop in the 14000604 versions of the future that he saw. He said he only saw one where the heroes come out the victor, which could be putting them in a time loop to save them from the Decimation in Avengers: Infinity War. This means they could be alive in an alternate reality in Avengers: Endgame.
