Toyota releases a teaser that gives their supporters more curiosity than an idea on how the 2020 Tacoma would look like.

Days before the official unveiling of the 2020 Toyota Tacoma, the Japanese auto giant released a photo teaser of their mid-sized third-generation pick-up truck. Tacoma is set to be revealed on the upcoming Chicago Auto Show on February 9.

The photo teaser which was supposed to give the Tacoma supporters a foresight of what their awaited mid-sized truck would look like seemed to do it the other way around. Upon seeing the photo leak that says "Tacom-ing soon," more questions now are left in the minds of the auto lovers, as CNET reported.

Reports say that since the photo teaser does not show much change on the front end of 2020 Tacoma, Toyota lovers are now thinking if the changes will be majorly on the lower front fascia. Auto lovers, however, hope that there will be not much mess in the styling as Tacoma undergoes a midcycle refresh.

There are quite a few 2020 Toyota Tacoma features that were made visible through the teaser photo, like the chiseled exterior which has been a signature for the mid-sized pickup.

Some visible changes were also seen in spite of the photo that appeared to be somewhat mysterious to some. The updated design language of Toyota is stated through the tweaked front grill of the 2020 Tacoma.

Based on what was shown on the teaser photo, the 2020 Tacoma will now have revised LED projectors. The traditional headlights will now be replaced by daytime running lights which appear to be in C-shaped form.

As of this writing, Toyota is not releasing additional information about the 2020 Tacoma. With the Japanese giant being mum, auto lovers are speculating if Toyota's pedestrian detection, automatic high beam assist, pre-crash assist, lane departure alert, front collision avoidance featured on Dubbed 'Safety Sense P' will be available on this refreshed version of the third-generation pick up.

Under the hood, speculations are also arising among auto lovers. They are wondering if the 2020 Tacoma will have a six-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission for engines.

Toyota could be using a 2.7-liter inline-four or a 3.5-liter V6 for the 2020 Tacoma which was First released in 2015 at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). Followers are also anticipating that the 2020 refresh would get a horsepower and torque boost, according to the Car Buzz.
