Fans are going to witness a big explosive finale in Lethal Weapon Season 3 Episode 15, titled "The Spy Who Loved Me." Viewers are expecting to see some answers to their questions regarding Cole (Seann William Scoot) and Murtaugh (Damon Wayans), and if ever the latter will return to Season 4 if Fox renews the show.
"When Cole is investigated by the FBI, Murtaugh is forced to question his loyalty to his own partner," Lethal Weapon Season 3 Episode 15's official synopsis read. "Meanwhile, Cole works a case that puts Natalie's (Maggie Lawson) fiancé, Andrew (Jonathan Sadowski), into the crosshairs right before their wedding day."
Cole may want to stop Natalie's wedding, but he also doesn't want to hurt her feelings. Given that they have a complicated relationship as well as history, fans can say they have a very painful past together. Things may not get fixed between the two, and may even get worse when Cole questions Andrew before they are set to tie the knot.
Another one that will be in question in Lethal Weapon Season 3 Episode 15 is Cole. According to CarterMatt, Cole and Murtaugh haven't known one another that long, so their loyalty to each other remains an issue. Being partners, the two must have a good relationship.
Cole has a history of being a "complicated law enforcement figure." With that, Murtaugh has to know where Cole's loyalties lie in Lethal Weapon Season 3 Episode 15.
Meanwhile, fans have been wondering if Wayans will return in Lethal Weapon Season 4 if ever Fox orders for a new set of episodes. To recall, the 58-year-old star earlier said he wanted to leave the show because of its long hours of filming and other challenges.
Fox Entertainment CEO Charlie Collier addressed the issue, via TV Line, at the recent Television Critics Association winter press tour, and said Wayans' statement "predated" him. "Speaking with the producers [and] with [Warner Bros,], I'm told that - and I think the show reflects it - that they're walking in lock-step," he said.
Executive producer Matt Miller, on the other hand, told Deadline Wayans' stay would be under "a conversation and a negotiation." After Wayans' comments, Fox and its producers both agreed to accommodate the actor's state by adjusting his shooting schedule and giving him special diabetic meals. In return, he agreed to do the show's additional episodes, including Lethal Weapons Season 3 Episode 15.
Wayans earlier complained that he is a "56-year-old diabetic" who is still working 16 hours per day for the show. After Fox acknowledged his complaint, he became a delight and a joy on the set. Lethal Weapons Season 3 Episode 15, titled "The Spy Who Loved Me," will air on Tuesday, February 26, at 8 p.m. on Fox.
