Viewers are in for more heart-stopping scenes as BBC America dropped the official trailer of Killing Eve Season 2 right on Valentine's Day. The show hanged on to the epic confrontation of feelings between Officer Eve and Villanelle, which brought all the running and chasing to a major halt when Eve stabs Villanelle at the end of the season. At the very start of this British drama television series produced by Sid Gentle Films for BBC America, it has already caught the attention of its avid viewers because of its unique storyline that has surprised and thrilled even television critics.
As for the show, its first season went on to the story of Eve Polastri and Villanelle, the two characters who are faced with two different motives, but by the turn of events will have to face an unexpected connection between themselves. Obsession and the looming threat of violence are forcing them in a bound that can only be separated by death. Based on a created novella by Luke Jennings Codename Villanella, the eight-part series also stars Fiona Shaw ("Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows") as intelligence boss Carolyn and Kirby Howell-Baptiste ("Downward Dog") as Eve's assistant, Elena - both roles that were changed from men in the books to women on-screen.
Starting the second season of "Killing Eve" on April 7, 2019, on BBC America, fans in Paris, London and Amsterdam have already seen the actors behind Villanelle and Konstantin, Jodie Comer and Kim Bodnia respectively. Although it was seen on the latter episodes that Konstantin was shot by Villanelle, viewers are now waiting for what is it for Bodnia's character in season 2. The official trailer of Killing Eve Season 2 has already made its fans at the edge of their seats when Eve and Villanelle goes on separate lives after their first showdown. However, the two characters cannot live without each other as they were seen stalking and giving creepy gifts, with viewers looking for signs of longing or vengeance.
As the background song of "Addicted to Love" plays, there is only a thin line between obsession to love and obsession to death. Killing Eve Season 2 will air on BBC America and AMC (TV channel) simultaneously at 8 p.m ET and will be giving new hopes to its U.K. viewers that they will not have to wait too long for new episodes to be aired unlike before. With the hiring of Emerald Fennell as head writer, and Lisa Bruhlmann and Francesca Gregorini as directors, there will be more help coming for its television developer Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
