It should not take too much to surmise that the eagerly anticipated Unc0ver Jailbreak for the iOS 12 - iOS 12.1.2 is right around the bend. Not after a member from the team of iOS developers, Samg_is_a_Ninja, posted a video on Reddit teasing the jailbreak.

What amazed expectant fans of the app, as the video reveal shows, is the Unc0ver jailbreak for iOS 12 - iOS 12.1.2 utilizing Siri and Siri Shortcuts. So on the video, a voice prompt is heard, "Hey Siri, Install Cydia." At this, the Unc0ver app runs, and after a while, the screen comes back on, and Cydia is installed.

For those in the know, Cydia support is very significant in iOS 12. Cydia will make it possible for iOS device users of any jailbroken Apple iPad or the Apple iPhone to install much-awaited tweaks on their devices.

However, before this goes too far ahead, it should be noted that the Unc0ver jailbreak for iOS 12 - iOS 12.1.2 will still need to get through the ongoing testing phase. While the process seems to take painstakingly long, the recent reveal only proves that it is slowly but surely nearing a public release.

It is also important to note that the Unc0ver will only have support for devices running on A9 to A11 chips. This means that in the event of the Unc0ver jailbreak for iOS 12 - iOS 12.1.2 release, iOS devices running on A12 Bionic processors, such as the recent iPad Pro 2018 releases and the iPhone XR, the iPhone XS, as well as the  XS Max, will not be supported. However, users of these devices need not worry as the team of developers seems to have this concern in hand.

Pwn20wnd, on the Unc0ver jailbreak team for iOS 12 - iOS 12.1.2, assures with a Tweet that "unc0ver *will* get A12 support shortly after the initial release."

With this said, owners of the abovementioned devices on A12 processors may expect Unc0ver jailbreak support not too long after the Unc0ver jailbreak for iOS 12 - iOS 12.1.2 publicly debuts.

In the meantime, those already on iOS 12 - iOS 12.1.2 are encouraged to stay that way until the Unc0ver jailbreak for iOS 12 - iOS 12.1.2 release. But the developers encourage those already on iOS 12.1.3 or even 12.1.4 to downgrade to iOS 12.1.1 beta 3 very soon while that window is still open.
