Many royal fans are curious if Prince William and Kate Middleton are sleeping in the same bed and same room. Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip are reportedly sleeping in separate beds, so a lot are wondering if the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have that kind of arrangement as well.

Prince William and Middleton have been married for about eight years now, and they reportedly lived together during their college years. In the online forum site called Quora, an ardent follower of U.K.'s royal family named Deanna Eppers said she once saw the Duke of Cambridge getting out of the Duchess' room to get a glass of water.

She claimed the royal couple roomed together in college and dated during those years, so it's clear they slept in the same room. She also revealed, during those times, no maids and butlers were assisting them with their choices of clothing while they dressed for Art History 102.

As for Mark Bellis, who is a resident of the United Kingdom, he said that understood why many people want to know why Prince William and Middleton sleep on the same bed. He said they do sleep together since they've already blessed with three adorable kids. He added the two are modern people as well since they've shared a house as students.

Linda Saper, who's been active on Quora over the past years, said she couldn't believe why many people were asking whether the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were sleeping on the same day. The two might not be touchy in public like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, but that doesn't mean they don't sleep together.

However, although Prince William and Middleton sleep in the same bedroom, they aren't sharing the same bathroom, as reported by the Business Insider. But just like other tired parents, the royal couple also spends their evenings on the couch while watching Game of Thrones or Homeland, and enjoying dinner of takeout food when their kids were already sleeping.

Meanwhile, in Sally Bedell Smith's biography of Queen Elizabeth II, it was revealed the queen and her husband don't sleep in the same bedroom because it's a part of their tradition among the British upper class. As per The Daily Beast, separate bedrooms were characterized as a well-documented part of "upper-class British life." Some couples reportedly prefer to sleep separately as they find it practical, particularly due to divergent sleep schedules and incompatible temperature preferences.
