The Walking Dead season 9 episode 12 is almost here, and the upcoming episode is titled "Guardians." AMC has previously released a short promo trailer and the next episode will feature many problems for the characters.
Spoilers of The Walking Dead season 9 episode 12 reveals some details about the upcoming episode, Newsweek reported. In the brief episode synopsis released by AMC, one community will reportedly struggle to ease tensions that threaten to divide from within, and then the true nature of another group will come into focus. Additionally, a mission to save a friend has deadly consequences - likely hinting a possible death.
The trailer of the upcoming episode shows Henry is trying to save Lydia from the Whisperers. He sees her sitting in the middle of the forest and was surrounded by the Whisperers, so he tried to find a way to rescue her. In a voiceover, Lydia also she acted like she needed help, and lied to "get their trust." Did she say this just to please her mother?
Despite Henry's efforts, he was caught by Beta and brought him to the Whisperer camp and detained him. Lydia convinced Alpha she doesn't have connections with him, but her mother doesn't buy it. To prove herself, she punched Henry in the face and another scene also shows Lydia using a knife on him. Some fans are speculating this might be the end for Henry.
The teaser also shows Beta telling Alpha they need to protect themselves and they need to be ready. This likely indicates an imminent war between the Whisperers and the survivors. The teaser of The Walking Dead season 9 episode 12 also shows Daryl Dixon watching the Whisperers, and then he sees Connie who passes a message, telling him they caught Henry. The clip shifted, showing Michonne who said angrily that putting themselves out there is dangerous.
Then it goes back to Alpha's camp showing Henry being held hostage, who looked terrified. Meanwhile, Father Gabriel asked where they supposed to turn to when they need help. At the end of the trailer, it teases a meeting in the woods between Alpha and Lydia and Beta and Henry. Meanwhile, another peek scene from the upcoming episode shows Alpha explained to Lydia the importance of telling lies, saying lies are "just words...nothing more."
The Walking Dead season 9 episode 12 will air on March 3, on AMC channel at 9 PM. The series can also be watched online on the AMC app, as well as other online options including DirecTV Now, Sling, Roku, and Hulu.
