Song Hye Kyo just finished working on the popular tvN series titled Encounter, which also starred Song Joong Ki's close pal Park Bo Gum. Avid followers of the 37-year-old South Korean actress were impressed by her exemplary performance in one of the highest rated Korean dramas in cable television history.
Being an adored South Korean actress and fashion icon, there is no denying that Song Hye Kyo is totally among the most bankable Asian stars today. Hence, it comes as no surprise that the wife of Song Joong Ki was tapped to get involved in a myriad of high-caliber productions such as That Winter, the Wind Blows (2013), Worlds Within (2008), Sunlight Pours Down (2004), All In (2003), and Full House (2004). So, what's next for the Descendants of the Sun actress?
Recent reports have it that Song Hye Kyo would stay away from the spotlight again after she revealed her plans to "rest" after starring in the 2018 hit show Encounter. In February, Song Joong Ki's better half shared that she wanted to have some time for herself after months of working for the tvN series. The former leading lady of Rain also said that she does not have plans to receive acting gigs at the moment.
"I'm searching for a good scenario and drama. I want to greet fans with good production in the near future," Song Hye Kyo shared during a launching event for Sulwhasoo in Singapore last month. "I want to have personal time. I came to think that I need some time of my own. I think I'll be resting for a while," the Descendants of the Sun star went on.
When the actress said that she wanted to take a breather following the success of her most-recent television project, some fans guessed that she might want to focus on being a wife to Song Joong Ki for now. There are also some who predicted that Song Hye Kyo could be planning on having a child already.
In a previous interview, Song Hye Kyo hinted that she and Song Joong Ki are going to have a baby soon in a natural way. Though the Descendants of the Sun actress is not sure when does their bundle of joy would arrive, she strongly believes that it would come soon as she lets the "nature takes it course."
This is not the first time that Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki were hit by pregnancy rumors. As a matter of fact, the couple was reported to be expecting already when the Running Man actor was sighted carrying a book with a word "baby" on it after attending the 2017 MAMA in Hongkong. However, the malicious reports were debunked already, and fans of the couple were encouraged to stop spreading baseless rumors about the duo's baby plans.
As for the latest pregnancy reports, neither of the two South Korean superstars has said a word about it as of yet.
