South Korean actress Go Ara has reportedly injured herself while on the set of the historical drama from SBS titled "Haechi." Her agency subsequently released an update clarifying the event.

In a report from AllKpop, the accident led to an injury to the actress' ankle. It happened while she was filming for the aforementioned Korean drama in Mungyeong Saejae, which is a mountain pass in South Korea. She was immediately rushed to the hospital after calling an ambulance to get an MRI scan. The results, unfortunately, showed a small tore on her ligament.

The publication added that Go Ara is getting treatment at a hospital located in Seoul. The actress' agency Artist Company, on the other hand, promised to give further details about her injury once her examination is completed.

In an initial report, the South Korean artist, known for dramas like "Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth" and "Ms. Hammurabi," is believed to have suffered the injury after a fall. However, the agency later clarified that she sprained her leg while running, not after falling.

As for the official result of the examination, the 29-year-old actress and model has ligament damage. While it is not being deemed serious, she is expected to wear a splint in order to hasten her recovery. Her latest drama, "Haechi," has just finished airing the 16th episode.

The SBS show follows the friendships and love story of Prince Yeoning. Apparently, he is a prince who cannot become the heir to the throne. He then teams up with Go Ara's Yeo Ji, who is a brilliant inspector skilled in investigating and martial arts. The two also receive support from another inspector (played by Kwon Yool) at the Office of the Inspector General. The three embark on a journey to fight the wicked Min Jin Heon (Lee Kyung Young) and, more importantly, to make the prince the king.

According to Soompi, one of the set photos from "Haechi" highlights a busy Yeo Ji, who is going in and out of the kitchen. Another set of pictures sees her pounding rice cake with uncontrollable strength. The young men around her cannot help but be surprised at her antics.

Interestingly, Go Ara is putting a lot of work in order to portray her role. The publication added that the actress tries to communicate with the production every break, showing her enthusiasm and passion towards the show. She is often called the "natural vitamin" on the set, thanks to her captivating smile and radiant personality.
