It seems there is something huge fans have to look forward to "Suits" Season 9. It turns out that Patrick J. Adams, the actor behind the character Mike Ross, is likely to return for the upcoming season.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Adams gave fans a surge of hope. He said that they are all trying to figure out the possibility and that he hopes to return to the ninth and final season of the hit legal drama TV show.
However, Patrick J. Adams clarified that it would not be as easy as many expect. For starters, he has to iron out the schedule of "Suits" as well as his. The Canadian actor and director said that it is "a scheduling thing," but he is confident it can be pushed through.
Also, the actor claimed that his return to the show would also depend on the story. After all, the writers have to figure out how to include Mike's presence in the story without compromising the quality. But as far as Adams is concerned, he would "love to make it work" if he could.
It holds true that the eight season of "Suits" received a huge backlash from fans. This is most especially with the absence of prominent cast members Patrick J. Adams, Meghan Markle (Rachel Zane), and Gina Torres (Jessica Pearson). But with the possibility of Adams returning to USA Network's hit legal drama series, things could change for the better.
According to Latin Times, former "Suits" cast member Sarah Rafferty (plays Donna Paulsen) wants Adams' character to be back. She has been convincing the actor to go back and tell him that his return for the final season is quite important.
For Rafferty, it just does not make sense for them to "wrap it up" without Adams' Mike Ross. She believes that the actor will return, especially since "he's a man of his word." As for Markle's Rachel Zane, the fiery and smart paralegal, reprising her role in "Suits" season 9 is unlikely to happen. Her royal duties after becoming the Duchess of Sussex make it impossible for her to take precedence over the show.
Aaron Korsh, the series creator of "Suits," has decided to stop pursuing Markle. He believes that her royal position is far more important. And while he cherishes her supposed return, the odds are "pretty close to zero."
Another castmate of Patrick J. Adams is also interested in his return to "Suits" season 9. It is none other than Gabriel Macht, the actor who plays the great Harvey Specter. Speaking with TVLine, to finish the story of the series without Mike would not be doing "justice" to himself or the fans.
