Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, successfully, caught the hearts of many when they appeared as Bella Swan and Edward Cullen in the vampire-themed film franchise titled Twilight. The American romantic-fantasy movie series was based on the novels written by Stephenie Meyer. Bella and Edward's love story became a huge hit, making Kristen and Robert two of the most bankable stars in Hollywood.
As a matter of fact, Twilight garnered a total of $700 million in ticket sales from midnight showings on Nov. 21, 2008, alone. During the opening day, the first installment of the Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson-led film series almost grossed $36 million. The pair even received various citations and nominations after the Twilight movie was revealed. In fact, Robert won the Male Breakthrough Performance at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards while Kristen nabbed the Best Female performance award.
However, the Twilight saga ended in 2012 when the Breaking Dawn - Part 2 was released. It is the franchise's fifth and final installment. Just a year later, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson also announced their split due to some personal reasons. This, then, broke the hearts of fans who had been shipping for them from the start.
While there are rumors claiming that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are going to appear together, again, in a new movie, recent reports suggest that it might not happen soon. As a matter of fact, Kristen is, currently, busy working on the Charlie's Angels reboot film while Robert just completed filming for the imminent High Life movie.
Kristen Stewart will join Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska as the newest team members of the private detective women. The Charlie's Angels reboot is expected to feature the new adventures of the crime-fighting trio. Aside from Naomi, Ella, and Robert Pattinson's ex-girlfriend, other stars who will be in the upcoming movie include Elizabeth Banks, Patrick Stewart, Djimon Hounsou, Luis Gerardo Mendez, Sam Claflin, and Jonathan Tucker. The said film will be released on Oct. 25, 2019.
Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson shared he was concerned that his High Life movie might face cancellation due to multiple delays. The former beau of Kristen Stewart divulged that filming the sci-fi movie is difficult and it did make him worry. "High Life kept getting pushed and pushed. It was supposed to shoot in 2015, the same years as The Lost City of Z with James Gray, and I was really worried that I was going to have to shoot them at the same time," the 32-year-old star revealed to Little White Lies Magazine.
For starters, High Life centers on the story of Monte (Robert Pattinson) an ex-convict who has to fight for survival in deep space where he is alongside his daughter named Willow. Aside from Kristen Stewart's former leading man, the movie also stars Andre Benjamin and Juliette Binoche. It will premiere in the U.S. cinemas on April 19.
