USA's hit drug drama series Queen of The South was renewed for season 4 a few weeks after the show's season finale of the third installment was aired.

Recently, it has been announced that the series will return by 2019. And if the network will follow the same pattern of the previous seasons' premiere dates, it is very likely that the fourth season will air come June of this year.

Although these are only speculations made by the fans and viewers of the show, all three seasons of Queen of The South were aired in June. And this makes the speculations quite plausible.

Apparently, very little has been said about the upcoming season of the show. Aside from its announced renewal details and season 3 reviews, there is not much information about season 4. In fact, the most recent update that has been covered was the series' new showrunners.

Just right after the renewal announcement, the executive producers of the series revealed that the showrunner of seasons 2 and 3, Natalie Chaidez, will step down to focus on her full-time personal projects with Fox and Fox 21 studios. She stated that she would miss the whole production team and the fans of the show. Even so, Chaidez happily shared that she is "proud to pass the baton" to her co-executive producers, Dailyn Rodriguez, and Ben Lobato.

Upon making this known to the fans and viewers, a lot of them have already theorized and speculated that the upcoming season of Queen of The South might take its new turn in terms of the plot. And not to mention that the third season has already exhausted the last part of the novel. Hence, there is a huge chance that the new showrunners will fill in new storylines in the succeeding episodes.

While these speculations are very likely to happen, there is no further confirmation about its plots and storylines. Also, there is no official trailer that has been released yet. But if it will air in June 2019, then it is possible for the fans to see the whole trailer come spring of this year.

The Queen of The South is an American television adaptation of the famous Spanish novel La Reina Del Sur which consequently translates to the title of the series. Alongside the novel, the show is also an adaptation of Telemundo's Spanish telenovela which carries the same title as the novel.
