Dragon Ball Super: Broly's release has raked in a whopping $100 million worldwide. As fans' celebrate the film's story, it looks like they haven't seen it all as director Tatsuya Nagamine revealed there were scenes that didn't make it in the movie.
There were some scenes that were cut from Dragon Ball Super: Broly and fans didn't see in the cinemas. In an interview, Nagamine talked about the "long-lost clips" that viewers didn't have the chance to witness.
According to Comic Book, Nagamine created storyboards far beyond what fans saw on Dragon Ball Super: Broly. However, Toe Animation had to cut down some scenes to shorten the film's run due to budget and time constraints. Hence, Nagamine was forced to delete some interesting scenes.
Some of the scenes that got deleted from Dragon Ball Super: Broly were featuring the fight between Nappa and Raditz and a glimpse of Vegeta and Raditz's childhood. The fan-translator Deem also shared on Twitter that the cut scenes mostly occurred before the battle took place.
From the looks of it, Dragon Ball Super: Broly wanted fans to see "more time in the past" than what it revealed. Nappa and Raditz's battle would have been happened either before or after Freeza destroyed Planet Vegeta, while Vegeta and Raditz's childhood scene might take place before it, and Nagamine's other sides occurred before Goku and Broly's showdown. If the film managed to feature these scenes, they could have had a better idea of what could have happened in the movie.
So fans are now waiting for any possible way that they could see these unseen scenes in Dragon Ball Super: Broly. However, Toei Animation remains mum about it.
Anyhow, Dragon Ball Super: Broly's Blur-ray/DVD is about to hit the shelves next month. In a Twitter post by @WTK, it revealed the film's Blu-ray and DVD combo set with a digital copy would be out on April 16.
The Funimation listing runs for $26.34, and pre-orders come with a Goku, wearing his arctic wear, standee for the desktop. Best Buy also has its listing that is available in a steel book edition for $27.99. Fans, too, can secure their copy of Dragon Ball Super: Broly Blu-ray and DVD combo set from Right Stuf Anime for $26.24.
