The Bold Type fans should get ready for a rollercoaster of feelings. As the Season 3 premiere grows nearer, more spoilers have hit the internet and it suggests a blossoming romance between Jane Sloan (Katie Stevens) and Ryan Decker (Dan Jeannotte), also known as Pinstripe.
Before that, here is a quick recap of what happened in the finale of The Bold Type Season 2. The finale episode, titled "We'll Always Have Paris," saw Jane Sloan deciding to freeze her eggs as a precaution in case she had the BRCA gene. However, she found out her insurance does not cover it.
Fortunately, both Pinstripe and Dr. Ben Chau (Luca James Lee) offered a solution for Jane Sloan's expensive fertility crisis. The former offered to use his new book advance to help her financially, while the latter suggested domestic partnership to take advantage of his hospital's free egg-freezing program.
It was a tough season for Jane Sloan, but the situation actually made her realized that there was only one person she wanted to share any news in her life. As a result, she decided to put an end to this love triangle.
Now, Freeform has dropped the official trailer for The Bold Type Season 3. While it does not exactly reveal the man who won Jane Sloan's heart, she can be seen doing a very sexy dance for a guy during a video call and it looks more like Pinstripe than Dr. Ben Chau.
After seeing the 1-minute trailer, many fans seem pretty upset over the idea that Jane Sloan chose Pinstripe over Dr. Ben Chau. Some fans, however, believe the said scene is just a tease and the love triangle is still on.
Aside from Jane Sloan's love life, The Bold Type Season 3 will also follow Sutton Brady (Meghann Fahy) and Richard Hunter's (Sam Page) relationship after rekindling their romance in the previous season's finale. It will also feature Kat Edison's (Aisha Dee) endeavor as she run for city council all of a sudden and the arrival of a new character, Patrick Duchand (Peter Vack), who is a new staffer at Scarlet Magazine.
"I'm excited to see Jane in her relationship, and I'm excited to see how everyone at Scarlet deals with the new challenges ahead," showrunner Amanda Lasher said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly when asked about The Bold Type Season 3."I think there are some unexpected turns. But it's just really fun being able to be with these young women on their journey through their 20s and figuring out who they are," she added.
The Bold Type Season 3 premieres on April 9.
