The hit comedy-drama television series This Is Us will return on March 19 on NBC for its sixteenth installment of the third season. And if you've watched the last episode titled The Waiting Room, then you already know that the upcoming episode might not be as fun as you think. As it appears, it may entail several heartbreaking moments to the whole Pearson clan.
From the title itself, Don't Take My Sunshine Away, one could already conclude that someone might lose something in the upcoming episode. And whether it may be a person or a thing, fans would only know the specifics once the episode airs next week.
Even so, it still makes total sense considering that everyone in the plot has something and someone to lose. And this became very apparent in the previous episode.
A blessing came to Kate and Toby when she already brought Jack to the world. However, baby Jack is a premature baby. And being one entails many health complications. So, there is a huge chance that Jack may not survive at all. Hence, the title covering Kate and Toby's sentiments to Jack.
On another note, the title may also apply to Randall and Beth. In the previous episode, Randall asked Beth to compromise for him. Instead of pursuing her dreams of being a dancer through instructing ballet, he asked Beth to quit and look after their daughters. And this put a strain on their relationship, according to Express.
But if you are to look beyond the two couples and their current struggles, you would see that Kevin and Zoe are also facing a relationship problem on their own.
Kevin has been suffering from his addiction to alcohol for almost the whole season 3 of This Is Us. And Zoe cannot further trust him even when Kevin tells him that he is already recovering. But we all know that this is a total lie. Although he promised Zoe that he'd get through with it, he speaks of these words while drinking secretly.
So, this could also mean that the title may refer to Kevin's drinking addiction or Zoe's trust issues.
With all these apparent unpleasant events, the title of the sixteenth episode of This Is Us Season 3 is very sensible and applicable to everyone. And not to mention that this is already the second to the last episode of the season which makes it much more open to various unpleasantries.
But, no one knows for sure. In the end, the best way to know is to wait for another week to witness the following episode of This Is Us on NBC.
