Fans of Netflix's BoJack Horseman are in for a treat! After the confirmation that Season 6 would happen, more exciting details about the next installment are coming to light including the release date, cast members and possible plot.
Five months after the renewal announcement, production on BoJack Horseman Season 6 is going full speed ahead. While no official word has been given on the forthcoming season's air date yet, the public and fans of the animated series are already making an educated guess.
The second and third season of BoJack Horseman were respectively released on July 17, 2015, and July 22, 2016, with the fourth and fifth following on Sept. 8, 2017, and Sept. 14, 2018. So if the sixth installment arrives this year, as seems likely, then fans will not be waiting beyond autumn of this year for the new episodes.
As for the plot, BoJack Horseman Season 6 will reportedly pick up right after the mind-boggling events of the Season 5 finale. In particular, viewers will see BoJack Horseman (voiced by Will Arnett) inching towards redemption after entering the rehab for his addiction. However, things are not as easy as they seem.
"[He's] been inching toward a desire for redemption, for a kind of inner peace," BoJack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg said in an interview with Metro. "[However] There were more rock bottoms to hit before this character could make the correct effort to start climbing out of the pit he had dug for himself," he added.
In addition to that, BoJack Horseman Season 6 will follow Mr. Peanutbutter's (voiced by Paul F. Tompkins) intensive preparations for his upcoming wedding, and Princess Carolyn's (voiced by Amy Sedaris) new life with the arrival of her adoptive daughter named Untitled Princess Carolyn Project.
The forthcoming season will also see the return of a human ghostwriter, Diane Nguyen (voiced by Alison Brie) and Todd Chavez (voiced by Aaron Paul), an unemployed human who lives with BoJack Horseman. More cast members and guest stars are expected to be revealed in the upcoming days.
BoJack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg will, once again, serve as executive producer along with Steven A. Cohen, Noel Bright, Jane Wiseman, Blair Fetter, Will Arnett, Andy Weil, and Aaron Paul. Graphic artist Hanawalt is also back on board. The Tornante Company and Boxer vs. Raptor produce alongside Los Angeles-based Shadow Machine
