Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's regional investigation unit is reportedly applying for an arrest warrant for Jung Joon Young. It is worth noting that the South Korean artist is under prosecution for violating the Act on Sexual Crimes of Violence.

In a report from Korea Portal, the Korean celebrity is expected to be arrested anytime soon by the authorities. Just recently, the police reportedly raided the singer-turned-actor's house after a search and seizure order. More evidence was obtained at his car and property, proving all charges against him.

Jung Joon Young has been investigated overnight on at least two occasions now. On March 14 at around 10 AM to 7 AM the following day, the authorities investigated him for about 21 hours. He was also booked for another investigation for about 5 hours from March 17, 11 PM to March 18, 4 AM.

The former K-pop singer is being accused of secretly taking videos of women and sharing the footages on members of a group chat. Even more so, the rise of new chat logs further proved these allegations.

These new chat logs reportedly have the potential to reveal how Jung Joon Young could have ties with the sex trade. Some of the clips he took himself have been spreading to other people through Apple's AirDrop.

The aforementioned chatroom included a handful of male celebrities and non-celebrity individuals. Not only did the singer-songwriter allegedly solicit prostitution, but he also spearheaded the sharing of those hidden camera footages.  It is also believed that the Korean actor tried to bribe police officers in an attempt to hide his crimes.

Among the male celebrities included in the investigation is Seungri, the former member of K-pop boy band Big Bang. According to Koreaboo, the police do not have plans yet to pursue an arrest warrant application for him.

As previously reported, Seungri and his agency YG Entertainment denied the allegations thrown at them. They deemed the chat logs to be faked and manipulated. But as investigations went through, the authorities were able to prove his involvement in the case, further suggesting that the chats were real. Following the eruption of the controversial case, the South Korean singer decided to retire from the entertainment industry.

Jung Joon Young, on the other hand, has already completed the second round of investigation. The Salty Tour actor issued a statement confessing his mistakes and confirming his resignation from all of his TV programs.
