When will the first Star Wars: Episode IX trailer come out? This is the question lingering in the back of the fans' minds for months now. Finally, actor Mark Richard Hamill has answered those fans begging for a trailer.
On Saturday, March 16, Mark Richard Hamill - who plays the last Jedi Master, Luke Skywalker, in the popular Star Wars film franchise - took to Twitter and shared a glimpse of his own "trailer." In the photo, the 67-year-old actor can be seen posing in his trailer on the set, pointing to a sign that says Master Hamster in the window.
"People keep asking me over & over & over again - 'When will they release the #EpisodeIX trailer?' A) I don't know. B) Until they do, just be satisfied with this exclusive look at my own personal #StarWars trailer. #PatiencePadawans #IXWillBeFineAllInGoodTime," Mark Richard Hamill said in the same Twitter post, as quoted by CNET.
Despite Mark Richard Hamill's trailer pun, fans believed that the first official trailer for Star Wars: Episode IX could arrive as soon as this April. It all started when the Star Wars Celebration event announced a special panel for the forthcoming epic space opera film on April 12 in Chicago, Illinois.
The special panel will feature Star Wars: Episode IX director JJ Abrams and producer Kathleen Kennedy along with plenty of surprises and special guests. It is likely that those surprises include the film's official title and first trailer.
While in-depth details of the film remain scarce, several reports claimed Star Wars: Episode IX will pick up one year after the mind-boggling events of 2017's Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and will feature a proper ending to General Leia Organa's (Carrie Fisher) story.
Star Wars: Episode IX will also see the return of Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega), Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson), Maz Kanata (Lupita Nyong'o), Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo), Rose Tico (Kelly Marie Tran), Lieutenant Connix (Billie Lourd), C-3PO (Anthony Daniels), and Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams).
Other stars that will be in Star Wars: Episode IX are Keri Russell, Naomi Ackie, Keri Russell, Richard E. Grant, Jimmy Vee, Brian Herring, Greg Grunberg, and Dominic Monaghan. The film is set to arrive in theaters across the United Kingdom on Dec. 19 and the 20th in the United States and Australia.
