BIGBANG Members Taeyang and Daesung seemed to be doing well in the military after photos of them smiling surfaced online amid the scandal involving Seungri. The two were captured happy while leading a military event.
Many noticed Taeyang and Daesung were smiling during the event, despite Seungri's involvement in the controversial, as reported by Allkpop. Some said the two weren't shocked with the news since they already know the former BIGBANG member very well, while others noticed Taeyang gained some weight. However, another netizen said the smile their smiles is kind of sad.
It was previously reported Seungri left YG Entertainment and announced his retirement from the entertainment industry in the midst of the controversies involving police corruption, prostitution, hidden cameras, and more. In the episode of TV Chosun's Current Events Show on March 18, it was suspected the former BIGBANG member is allegedly hiding evidence after deleting a photo of himself wearing a police uniform.
The now-deleted photo of him wearing a police uniform was uploaded November 25, 2014, along with a caption "Salute." It can be recalled Seungri was involved in a car accident in September 2014 and was suspected of drunk driving at that time, yet the accident was reportedly filed as speeding issue. Allegedly, he deleted the photo this time as he was facing legal issues, which many speculated he's hiding and deleting evidence.
Senior Police Superintendent Yoon - the police who allegedly had ties with Seungri and Jung Joon Young and part of the controversial chatroom - claimed he didn't know the former BIGBANG member back in 2014. He said that he will report speculations responsible for defamation since they weren't yet confirmed with the parties involved.
Meanwhile, Soompi reported YG Entertainment and BIGBANG were removed on the official profile of Seungri on Naver. On March 19, his profile on the mentioned platform is devoid of any traces of his time in the entertainment company and the boy band. His YG-related information can no longer be found, and his history as a BIGBANG member and links to the band's Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Weibo accounts were no longer present as well. But, his profile on other Korean search engines can still be seen, showing linked to the group.
Aside from Seungri, Jung Joon Young's agency information and debut date were also removed from his profile, while former FTISLAND member Choi Jong Hoon's - who recently announced his retirement - still listed FNC Entertainment as his agency.
