The story of Billy McBride (Billy Bob Thornton) will continue on Goliath Season 3. Amazon renewed the show for another season with a couple of new cast members that may become Billy's friend or foe. Theories suggest the latest installment will be wilder than ever, as Billy has to face his mortality.
Amazon asked creators, David E. Kelley, and Jonathan Shapiro, to do a new set of episodes of Goliath Season 3. "Our Prime Video customers loved the first two seasons of Goliath, and I'm excited we can bring them a new season of this sharp and surprising legal drama," Vernon Sanders, Amazon Studios Co-Head of Television, said, via Deadline. "We have an incredible array of stars joining Billy Bob and the Goliath cast, and fans will be thrilled to see what's in store for Season Three."
Along with the Goliath Season 3's coming is the arrival of new cast members like The Day After Tomorrow's Dennis Quaid and The Leftovers's Amy Brenneman. Twin Peaks: The Return's Sherilyn Fenn and Destroyer's Shamier Anderson will also join Thornton in major but unknown characters yet.
Although Amazon has yet to reveal Goliath Season 3's official synopsis, the new season will be about the unexpected death of an old friend. This event will lead Billy to accept a new case in the "drought-stricken" Central Valley. Here, he will meet the new Goliath: the billionaire rancher that will be played by Quaid and his sister that Brenneman will portray.
Billy and his team will do their best to know the truth on Goliath Season 3 despite the need to face old nemesis and personal demons. Fans will also see how Billy has to face his death with all the things going on around him. Will Billy survive this season?
TV Season Spoilers reported Goliath Season 3 would be bigger and better with all the turns of events. As Billy has to face a new enemy and even confront his mortality, it only means that fans are about to see more drama and its dangerous consequences.
Other stars that will be seen on Goliath Season 3 are Nina Arianda as Patty Solis-Papagian, Tania Raymonde as Brittany Gold, Diana Hopper as Denise McBride, Ana de la Reguerra as Marisol Silva, and Julie Brister as Marva Jefferson. Lawrence Trilling will also return as the new season's showrunner after working on the two previous installments.
Goliath Season 3 may have a total of eight episodes like its predecessors. Although Amazon has yet to reveal its official release date, it mentioned it would be out this year. As the show usually takes a long while before hitting the small screens, Season 1 aired in October while Season 2 released in June 2018, fans have to wait for the network's further announcement.
