Jon Hamm will be seen on the big screen, along with Natalie Portman, in the upcoming movie Lucy in the Sky. As the 48-year-old star is busy doing a lot of things, he remains single and reportedly can't find a new girlfriend. So, his pal Malin Akerman allegedly wants to help him find a girl and play as a matchmaker.

An alleged insider revealed to a tabloid magazine that Malin Akerman feels sorry for Jon Hamm for not having a girlfriend. The Mad Men actor is reportedly the "saddest and sorriest" bachelor the 40-year-old star has ever met.

"Trouble is Jon can attract women, but he sure can't keep them," the source said. Jon Hamm is said to be in a hunt for a woman who is not a part of the industry, smart, funny, and independent. However, the tipster claimed Malin Akerman finds it hard to find a woman with the traits he likes, as he is also "super picky" and doesn't want a commitment unless he feels the relationship will work. "But Malin's made it her mission to help him find his dream girl," the source contended.

Gossip Cop debunks this story and says their mutual friend insists there is no truth about it. Although their pal can't speak on the record, it says Malin Ackerman is not the type of girl to intervene Jon Hamm's life to play as a matchmaker. Another source close to the Black Mirror star, on the other hand, maintains the news is fabricated.

Meanwhile, Jon Hamm will be soon seen on the big screen with Natalie Portman, Dan Stevens, and Zazie Beetz in the movie Lucy in the Sky. Directed by Legion and Fargo's Noah Hawley, the film is about the female astronaut (Portman) who loses touch with the reality after a "life-changing mission" in space. When she returns to Earth, things gradually become different.

"Her psychological decline culminates in a fevered cross-country trip with violent intentions in this complex, thrilling and darkly comedic character study," Lucy in the Sky official synopsis read. With Steven's ability to play with the viewers' minds, the movie surely has a lot to show.

The title of Jon Hamm's new movie is a nod to Beatles' 1967 song "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" from the album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Lucy in the Sky has yet to have its official release date, but it is expected to be out later this year.
