The new trailer of One Punch Man season 2 recently arrived, but many fans think that it is completely different from the first installment. The majority said One Punch Man season 1 is much better than the next series, and some even requested to postpone it to improve the animation quality.

The first season of One Punch Man was done by Madhouse which was aired back in 2015. The first installment received many praises from viewers, but it was reported in 2017 that the animation studio dropped the second season of the anime and it was picked up by J.C. Staff Production. The company is known for producing romance genre, but fans weren't really happy with the new trailer of One Punch Man season 2.

A lot of viewers shared their reaction on social media, criticizing the animation style of the trailer. IGN reported that many noticed the odd pacing, lack of action, prevalence of 3DCG, as well as overall less-than-stellar quality of the upcoming series. Some even requested to postpone the anime, saying they can wait for another year just to make sure to improve the animation quality. Another viewer said the second season looks "awful" compared to the first one.

Meanwhile, there were also reports season 1 director Shingo Natsume would be leaving the anime. Many fans commended his connection in the industry and praised him for making the first season unforgettable. Currently, Natsume is working on another anime adaptation Boogiepop and Others which is airing at the moment.

One Punch Man season 2 was handed over to director Chikara Sakurai and J.C. Staff. However, viewers think the animation studio wouldn't surpass what Madhouse did in the first installment. But, others said the company might not entirely to blame, a Reddit user said "tight schedules" and "busy workload" might be some of the factors why the second season is different from the first installment.

Going back to the trailer's content, the main villain for the next season has been revealed, and it was Garou. It hinted full of interesting fights and showed Monster Association converting heroes into very powerful monsters. The anime follows the story of a salaryman named Saitama; he hates his job and decided one day to stop the violent attack of attack. After this, he was inspired to be a hero and starts training his body every day.

One Punch Man season 2 will reportedly air in Japan on April 2, while it will premiere in the United States on April 9 on Hulu.
