Cobra Kai has been very successful when the first installment of the show aired on YouTube Red. Although YouTube Premium members are the only ones allowed to watch the series exclusively, a lot of Karate Kid fans are also joining the bandwagon. And before YouTube knows it, their premium members grew in a short period of time. This is why as early as the first installment, Cobra Kai was already renewed for another season.

While the renewal announcement was made in 2018, it is only in 2019 that the second installment is set to premiere. And apparently, Cobra Kai Season 2 will start to air on YouTube Red on April 24.

At the end of season 1, fans witnessed how Johnny won over Daniel by defeating his son, Robbie, whom Daniel coached, in the All-Valley Karate Tournament through his protege, Miguel.

While this win at the end of the first installment is a great achievement for the Cobra Kai dojo, Daniel felt even more defeated this time upon learning that Robbie is his son. And much more when his former sensei, John Kreese, reappeared in the valley.

This sensei role will be reprised by the original Karate Kid actor, Martin Cove, as revealed by CBR. His role will be a series regular come the second installment of the show — accordingly, this where the second season of Cobra Kai will pick-up.

In addition to these apparent events from the first season, the plot of season 2 may start with Daniel's control over his worst impulses as he aspires to follow the footsteps of Miyagi. And since Kreese is already back, there is a huge possibility that the students from the Cobra Kai dojo, along with Johny, will become "even bigger jerks" as explained by Screen Rant.

Hence, the tension and rivalry between Johnny and Daniel will certainly intensify as the next installment of the show progresses. However, there are also rumors that Johnny and Daniel might end up being in peace with each other once the second installment concludes.

These rumors of "peace" between the long-time rivals were even more justified by some fans when it has been revealed that John Kreese will butt in when it comes to training the students of Cobra Kai dojo. But while plausible, there are no confirmations yet about the actual plot of the show.

So, the best way to know what will happen next is to wait for further updates and of course, to wait for the premiere of Cobra Kai season 2.
