Legacies episode 16 is coming on CW next week, which is the season finale. The title of the upcoming episode is "There's Always a Loophole," so many viewers were wondering what to expect on the spin-off of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals.
What does the episode title mean? Some say there's going to be a twist - the one that viewers don't expect to happen. The episode could also show some of the characters getting out of the sticky situation - but putting some lives into serious jeopardy. Unlikely alliances will be formed as well to save the lives of many, but it could also mean "losing" some key characters.

Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) will do everything and will take charge to protect her friends after a group of unwelcome visitors arrives at The Salvatore School. MG (Quincy Fouse), on the other hand, discovers a secret about his mother, while Josie (Kaylee Bryant) was caught in a dire situation.
The next episode is all about secrets, more chaos at the Salvatore School, as well as a chance for Hope to show everyone how much she learned. Of course, she is the daughter of Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) - she could handle all danger that's on the way. Her father is the master of starting chaos, while her mother is the one who put out those fires. She is indeed a leader and a powerhouse, but she doesn't realize it just yet, and she hasn't had a full grasp of it.
In one particular scene in the promo, an agent is likely opening fire on Hope, Josie, and Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) and it's hard to imagine that one of them may die. This is the time for Hope to activate her vampire side and will be the all-powerful tribid. In an interview with Collider, Russell also teases that the season finale will "really, really shock people." She added that her character could make many mistakes if ever things go "sour."
The episode title could also be a reference in one of the scenes in The Originals when Hayley Marshall (Phoebe Tonkin) announced her pregnancy, and Klaus thought it was a lie. Vampires don't procreate, but since he was born a werewolf and later on became a vampire, he was the "original hybrid." Thus, they considered the pregnancy as "nature's loopholes."
As for MG, his story is possibly a set up for the second season, while the crisis of Josie could be a cliffhanger. CarterMatt noted that season 2 might be released in the fall, which is pack with frustrations, speculations, and more. Meanwhile, Legacy season 16 is directed by Mary Lou Bellucci, and it will be available on March 28, 2019, on CW.
