The British television crime drama from Sky Atlantic, Tin Star, has been renewed for a new season. However, the third season will be the final installment to the TV series as revealed by Rowan Joffé, the creator and writer of the said show.
This is either good or bad news for the fans. But whatever the case, one thing is for sure, the fandom of Tin Star will, once more, get to experience the thrill and suspense that the dark drama series offers.
Although there are no confirmations yet as to when it will be aired on Sky and Amazon, Joffé revealed that the upcoming season is already in the process of development. Additionally, the production will start in the latter months of 2019 as stated by the show's creator to Digital Spy.
If all things fall accordingly to the schedule that has been revealed, then it is possible that the third season of Tin Star will arrive in the network by mid or late 2020.
As for the plot of the third installment, no further information has been given to the fans and the public. For one, the writers and showrunners are trying to be very discreet as much as possible. Although this is likely the case, it is worth remembering that the development is still in the process. Hence, this could mean that the script, along with the totality of the plot, is not yet finished.
And because of this, fans and avid viewers of Tin Star might still need to wait for further updates. Accordingly, it is very likely that a few hints and ideas about the succeeding plot will be given once the script is done. Even so, there is a huge chance that the final season may follow the storyline where season 2 left off as explained by Express. For all we know, everyone is still in danger in the later episodes of season 2. So, season 3 might kick it off by resolving these apparent dangers.
There are rumors as well that Jim might have a full reconciliation and redemption with himself come the final installment of Tin Star. But if ever the death of a loved one will occur in the succeeding episodes, then things might get worse for Jim Roth. And fans may witness a sad ending for the show.
