Grey's Anatomy season 15 episode 19 is due next week, and it is one of the most important episodes for Jo so far as it will focus on her past and her mother. Viewers can finally learn more about her since her arrival in the medical drama series.

In episode 18 titled "Add It Up," Jo wasn't present in the majority of the scenes probably because she is doing her best to find her biological mother. But, in the last part of the episode, it indicates that her visit with her birth mother probably ended on a sour note. The official synopsis Grey's Anatomy season 15 episode 19 teased fans about Jo confronting her past after a trauma patient arrived at the Grey Sloan. On the other note, Bailey and Ben need to talk to Tuck about dating.

Going back to Jo, she's been very vague about her past since her arrival on Grey's Anatomy as a Season 9 intern. The character only shared her struggles during her childhood years to clap back against Alex's belief that she grew up sheltered and spoiled. In the promo of the upcoming episode titled "Silent All These Years," it featured Jo standing outside on someone's house and approached the woman who opened the door, telling her that she thinks she's her mother.

Shocked, the woman told Jo she can't be there. She's determined to find out the truth and persuades the woman to meet her at the nearby diner, and then she, later on, asked about her father. The situation gets emotional from there and it seems like her reunion with her possible mother will be very detailed that you can't miss.

What's more intriguing about the upcoming episode is that the promo comes with viewer discretion advised warning due to the sensitive subject matter. This leads to many fans speculating about how Jo was conceived; many are wondering if she's a product of "rape" or "incest." So it's possible the next episode will indeed tackle a very sensitive matter, as reported by CinemaBlend.

Jo's past has been already teased even before Grey's Anatomy season 15 started. Camilla Luddington, who plays Jo, revealed in an interview in September 2018 that viewers will finally meet Jo's family, and it will likely happen at some point in the season.

Grey's Anatomy season 15 episode 19 is directed by Debbie Allen, and it will air on Thursday, March 28, on ABC.
