Savills Studley has announced that they intend to upgrade their services starting by changes. From Savills Studley--the name by which they operated from their start as a new player in the Houston market in 2003 as the Studley tenant representation firm--the real estate firm have re-branded themselves, simply going by the name Savills.
Chron reported that the change is to keep in line with the global platform of the London-based firm. The US firm is adopting the name Savills only, dropping the Studley name from founder Julien Studley, who founded Studley in 1954 in New York. The transition, according to chairman and chief executive for North America Mitchell Steir, was only natural.
Steir mentioned that the change is expected to build upon their '65-year legacy' doing tenant advising in the US. He added that this reaffirms their services and solutions provider to different clients in terms of productivity and profitability, whether they are locally found or are international clients.
Earlier, Savill Studley elevated Lisa Davidson and Eric Feinberg to new positions. The duo, who served with the company's Chicago office, has been promoted to vice chairman. According to Rejournals, both have been serving the company for a total of 39 years combined, creating more than 35 million sq ft of deals and transactions on behalf of the firm.
Davidson has been with the company since 1997, where she had been recognized as one of the company's 'top performers' consistently. She had been recently appointed as one of the company's boards of directors and was also named as chief diversity officer in the firm. She was also connected with the 'Old Post Office' transaction, which earned her the 2016 NAIOP Transaction of the Year.
Feinberg, meanwhile, joined the company in 2002 and handled financial analysis, real estate analysis, real estate lease negotiation, information technology, and strategic consulting. He was appointed co-head of the Chicago office in 2014 and was responsible for taking care of marketing, operations, and research efforts.
Savills boasts of a 160-year old existence as a real estate service provider. It has grown to more than 36,000 employees with over 660 offices in 71 countries. In Houston, the company office has 22 employees. The company is also listed with the London Stock Exchange. The main office is also located in London.
