Chinese President Xi Jinping is scheduled to meet leaders from France, Germany, and the European Union in Paris on Tuesday, March 26 to discuss how to improve ties despite the growing concern of other European nations on the Massive investments of the Asian nation in Europe.

The talks come ahead of the European Union and China's summit in Brussels next month. It is a day after the Chinese president's signing of an array of deals with France which included a huge aircraft contract. Airbus, recently announced that China signed an agreement to purchase not less than 300 passenger jet to be used by its airlines which included a purchase of a 290 Airbus A320s and 10 A350. In January 2018, Macron announced the original order of 184 A320s for 13 Chinese airlines during a state visit.

On Sunday, Chinese President Xi arrived in Monaco with his wife where he was welcomed by Prince Albert and Princess Charlene. The leader spent his dinner with French President Emmanuel Marcon followed by an official bilateral talk between the two leaders.

The French president said at a state dinner on Monday evening, March 25, that he hoped to build a "new global governance" with China. he said that he will discuss his goal at the unprecedented meeting with the German chancellor and the president of the European Commission.

The French president said during their talk that it is an important gesture that they are making now and it is a testament to China's deep attachment to its cooperation with Europe and his desire to build a strong Europe.

Reports said that German Chancellor Angela Merkel and EU Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker plans to join the Chinese and French leader at the Elysee Palace to explore "points of convergence" between the two trading giants.

China and France signed an agreement on Monday to collaborate on nuclear power, cultural exchanges, and clean energy. The deal with France also included China's Export of frozen chicken amounting to more or less $40 billion. Others believe that the visit of the Chinese President poses a particular challenge for Macron because he is known to push back against Beijing's growing global clout.

On his speech at the Elysee Palace on Monday after talks with the Chinese president, Marcon urged other European nations to join him in a strong Europe-China partnership based on "strong multilateralism" and "fair and balanced" trade.

President Xi said that a united and prosperous Europe fits in with China's vision of a multipolar world.
