The upcoming Veep Season 7 will be quite intriguing. With a tirade of political wits on its way, rumors have circulated that this stretch will be the last for the award-winning show. Still, there is a lot to look forward to especially with the first episode looming in the horizon.
The TV program is highly likely to unveil with a blast considering that HBO is reinforced by some service providers in presenting the political satire. Streaming firms like Roku, Sling, Hulu, and DirectTV have all signed up to bring Veep Season 7 episode one on the screen.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus is back on the public service scene as the fictional Vice President of the United States. Her role as Selina Meyer will serve a notch down from the highest authoritative position of the American political hierarchy.
After the House of Representatives and Electoral College blew off the count, Meyer failed to cling to her post as President. The impending season will bring the lady leader face-to-face with the challenges to balance her political and personal responsibilities.
Although a demotion at this point in the show somewhat sucks, no less than Casey Bloys, the HBO's President for Programming, has said that the closure for the program may just be fitting for the role that has been depicted since the beginning.
Veep Season 7 will pick up where the previous installment ended. Meyer's Chief-of-Staff has talked her out of taking another shot at the Presidency. Although the plot may have something to do with a decline in viewers rating last stretch, it is likely that the story will focus more on Selina's personality this time.
Dubbed as Iowa, the initial episode of the show will present a poignant Selina Meyer who sees a bump in her capacity as Chief Executive of the nation. At the same time, Timothy Simons's Jonah Ryan is on the frontlines to assume the highest position in the land.
The final stretch will bring Louis-Dreyfus's role into the maneuverings of America's Presidential nomination. Meyer will take her acts to the county scenario of Iowa where democratic debate barbs will be unraveled during the campaign.
Episode one will present different angles of the characters involved. Ryan unloads some humor against the intellectually-challenged. Campaign manager Ben remains in the thick of things but will probably be leaning on a backup gig in Sweden. Then there's Dan and Amy whose personal lives intertwine.
Veep Season 7 will hit television screens by the end of March 2019. HBO will present the show at around 10:30 pm every Sunday.
