Fans of One Punch Man are in for a treat! As Season 2 of the popular anime series approaches, the official title and synopsis for the first episode have been revealed - teasing an intense and action-packed season ahead.
One Punch Man Season 2 Episode 1 is titled "Hero's Return" (via Hiptoro) and will see Saitama (voiced by Makoto Furukawa / Max Mittelman) and Genos (voiced by Kaito Ishikawa / Zach Aguilar) come across G4, a huge humanoid robot created by The Organization.
G4 appears in M-City to confront King (voiced by Hiroki Yasumoto / Rich Brown), an S-Class professional hero for the Hero Association. The latter, however, cowardly runs away from the humanoid robot - causing him to attack the civilians.
Luckily, Genos interferes and breaks G4's sword in time. He resolves to fight him alone to get to the top ten of the S-Class. Saitama, on the other hand, chases down King to his house, where he will find him playing some romantic games.
In addition to G4, One Punch Man Season 2 will also see Saitama and Genos go head-to-head against Garou (voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa), also called the Human Monster and the Hero Hunter. The menacing villain is known for his fascination with monsters and his hatred of heroes. He also possesses inhuman durability, speed, and strength.
"Now, the great seer Madame Shibabawa's (Kimiko Saitō / Barbara Goodson) prediction about the Earth being doomed seems to be coming true as the frequency of monster incidents escalates," the official synopsis for One Punch Man Season 2 reads, as quoted by Geek Tyrant. "Alongside Genos, his faithful disciple, Saitama begins his official hero duties as a member of the Hero Association, while Garou, a man utterly fascinated by monsters, makes his appearance," it added.
The second installment will also see the return of fan-favorite heroes such as Bang (Kazuhiro Yamaji / Will Barret), Child Emperor (Minami Takayama), Silverfang (Kazuhiro Yamaji), Atomic Samurai (Kenjiro Tsuda), Speed-o'-Sound Sonic (Yuki Kaji), Metal Bat (Wataru Hatano), and Metal Knight (Tessyo Genda).
Puri-puri Prisoner (Masaya Onosaka), Handsome Kamen Amai Mask (Mamoru Miyano), Zombieman (Takahiro Sakurai), Tank-top Master (Katsuyuki Konishi), Superalloy Blackluster (Satoshi Hino), Drive Knight (Yoji Ueda), Mumen Rider (Yuichi Nakamura), Flashy Flash (Kohsuke Toriumi), Terrible Tornado (Aoi Yuki), Watchdog Man (Yuji Ueda), Hellish Blizzard (Saori Hayami) and Pig God will also make appearances.
