It looks like it is going to take a while before fans get to witness Newt Scamander's (Eddie Redmayne) another mind-boggling adventure as the start of filming for Fantastic Beasts 3 has been pushed back to late 2019.

The follow-up to 2018's Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald was originally expected to begin shooting this summer. However, Warner Bros. Pictures and Heyday Films have delayed the start of filming to late 2019 as the production team needs more time to prepare.

Actor Dan Fogler, who plays Jacob Kowalksi in the Wizarding World franchise, echoed the same sentiment. He also revealed that the much-awaited Fantastic Beasts 3 will be gigantic and much better than the second installment.

"We start [filming] in the fall," Dan Fogler said in an interview with HeyUGuys. "The movie is going to be gigantic. The reason we were given is that the movie is bigger than the first two combined. They needed more time to prep, and they didn't want to rush anything, so they pushed it back," he explained.

Also, series creator J. K. Rowling reportedly is reportedly re-working the script right now to make the third installment way better than the Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. It is worth noting that the second installment did not perform as well as the first installment.

Many were also disappointed with some of the big reveals in the said film, while some boycotted it after actress and model Amber Heard has accused his ex-husband Johnny Depp - who plays Gellert Grindelwald - of domestic abuse.

Despite the backlash surrounding Johnny Depp's casting, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald still manage to open with global takings of $253 million. It even grossed $159.6 million in the United States and $494.1 million in other territories - for a total worldwide gross of $653.7 million.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald stars Katherine Waterston as Tina Goldstein, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein, Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone, Zoë Kravitz as Leta Lestrange, Callum Turner as Theseus Scamander, Claudia Kim as Nagini, William Nadylam as Yusuf Kama, Kevin Guthrie as Abernathy and Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore.

Jamie Campbell Bower, Carmen Ejogo, Bontis Jodorowsky, Fiona Glascott, Poppy Corby-Tuech, Ingvar Eggert Sigurðsson,  Ólafur Darri Ólafsson,   Jessica Williams, David Sakurai, Victoria Yeates, Derek Riddell, Wolf Roth, and Cornell John also appeared in the film.
