Prince Harry and Prince William are reportedly involved in a bitter feud. Sources suggest that Princess Diana's grown-up sons have drifted apart ever since Prince Harry got married to Meghan Markle.

But why are the brothers feuding and when did it start? The details are murky and unclear as non-official sources have been talking and igniting the rumors. Below is a timeline of the alleged sibling rift.

William warned Harry in the early months of his relationship with Meghan that things were moving too quickly. According to an insider who told People, this made Harry "angry and hurt," however, a friend of the couple said it is unlikely for William and his wife Kate Middleton to be unfriendly towards Meghan.

With Harry finally married to Meghan after a year and a half of dating, things quickly reportedly changed between the brothers. Rumors suggested that Meghan and Kate did not get along, with the latter berating Harry's wife over her behavior with a staff.

Buckingham Palace, however, issued a denial in November 2018 and stated that the fight between Meghan and Kate never happened. Shortly after Meghan's pregnancy was confirmed, the palace also announced via a press release that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be moving out of Nottingham Cottage by spring 2019.

"This long-planned move will ensure that permanent support arrangements for the duke and duchess' work are in place as they start their family and move to their official residence at Frogmore Cottage," the statement read.

But Nottingham Cottage is only next door to the home of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their three kids. Despite the official denials and announcements, rumors suggested that the real reason for the house's split was the problems between the princes' wives.

Royal expert Nick Bullen told Fox News in March 2019 that it was, in fact, the brothers who have a falling out. Bullen cited he had "well-placed" sources inside the palace who said that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles have been trying to unite the family.

However, a former employee of the palace debunked Bullen's claims. Dickie Arbiter told Us Weekly that the brothers remain close to this day and that there has never been any bad blood between William and Harry. The move and split into two different houses miles apart from each other are a matter of evolution.

It's important for William and his children to remain in London and get used to the life inside the palace as heirs to the throne. Harry and his future children are way below the hierarchy line and thus have more freedom to live as privately as they choose.
