Traitors season 1 has just recently ended, one of the questions now is whether the show will be renewed for a second season or not. Many spy dramas have been making headlines over the past few years, such as Killing Eve which premiered last year, so it's not surprising a lot of viewers also love Traitors. Many believe Traitors season 2 will be given a thumbs up by Channel 4.

The first season of the series aired back in February, and it garnered many viewers so Traitors season 2 is very likely. Otakukart also reported the rating of the show in Rotten Tomatoes is 71 percent, while Radio Times named Traitors as one of its best show so far in 2019 - which were great signs for the show to be renewed.

And although Channel 4 has yet to announce its renewal, the series' reception among fans and critics implies they wanted to see more of Keeley Hawes and Emma Appleton drama. Traitors also premiered globally on Netflix on March 28, so it's probably waiting for the response of its global audience before announcing its renewal status.

If ever Traitors season 2 will be given a green light, viewers can expect it to return in early 2020 - just like the first season. Also, the second season would have likely contains six episodes as well, which is similar to the first installment. Filmed in Cardiff, Traitors season 1 is set at the end of World War II in which tension is rising between the United States and Russia and spies of both countries were wary at each other.

Feef Symonds (played by Emma Appleton) has been seduced by a rogue US agent into a deadly mission on spying on her own country, and her task is to reveal the Russian infiltration in the heart of the British Government. So, Traitors season 2 will likely continue to follow the protagonist.

As for the cast of the future installment, of course, Appleton will reprise her role as Symonds. Other characters expected to return include Keeley Hawes (as Priscilla), Luke Treadaway (Hugh), Michael Stuhlbarg (Rowe), and Brandon P Bell (Jackson). Viewers can also expect Matt Lauria, as well as Stephen Campbell Moore in the upcoming season.

Bash Dornan is the writer of the show, who's behind the likes Boardwalk Empire and Masters of Sex, alongside Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the writer of Killing Eve. As for the trailer of Traitors season 2, it would likely be released once the official release date of the show is announced.
